Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract
Madagascar Bourbon, the world's finest vanilla, is grown and cured on the Bourbon Islands off the East Coast of Africa, with Madagascar Island supplying more than 60% of the world's vanilla. The vanilla bean, or pod, is the only edible fruit-bearing orchid in the world. Each flower opens only one day a year and must be hand pollinated to produce a pod. The curing process takes approximately 3-6 months to develop full flavor. The result is a creamy, sweet, velvety flavor that is the preferred choice of pastry chefs and bakers.
